When she arrives, a ticking metronome catches her attention and she is drawn to it. She asks what it is, but before she can get her answer, her face slackens as she sinks into a trance. Alice is completely hypnotized and now open to receive her commands. She becomes her neighbor’s slave and answers any command with an empty “yes master”.
